MEL CROTHERS

Mel Crothers is a WAAPA graduate (Musical Theatre) and a well established performer on the West Australian music scene. As the lead vocalist for several bands that regularly perform around Perth Mel also travels regularly both nationally and internationally for performances and events.

 

Known for her soaring vocals and powerful performances Mel is also an established songwriter and recording artist having produced three albums, the most recent of which was produced and recorded in Nashville Tennessee. 

 

Mel is passionate about always giving a great performance but also knows the foundation of every great vocal performance is solid technique and good vocal habits. It’s this knowledge and expertise that she bring to her vocal lessons and believes that everyone has the potential to improve with skills. 

 

Whether you just want to sound better when you sing in the shower or you want to make a career out of singing, Mel would be excited to work with you to achieve your vocal goals. 

TAYAH CROTHERS

Growing up in a family of musicians and entertainers, Tayah Crothers has loved theatre from a young age. She began her training at the WA Talent School at the age of four and since then has developed her skills in the areas of singing, dancing and acting. This has lead her to graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a Diploma in Musical Theatre.

Tayah has performed both locally and internationally from Optus Stadium to Disneyland and is a regular singer at the Crown Perth. In 2018, Tayah was an actor in the annual Performing Arts Perspectives which showcases the top WACE practical students from 2017.

 

Already in 2020, Tayah has been nominated for a Finley Award  for "Best Actress in a Musical", written and performed in the Fringe show "Crookie! A Mystery Musical", choreographed Kid'z Kompany's production of "Annie JR".

Tayah is currently studying a Bachelor of Music at WAAPA, specialising in Jazz Vocals. If you want to improve in your singing, dancing or acting, Tayah would love to be a part of your journey
